Prayer Requests

First, thank you for including us in your prayer life. Submitted prayers, published or private are prayed for each morning, every morning. Prayers are kept on our list for one month unless we get an update, praise report or are asked that they be removed. We believe our prayer requests are a three way covenant between the submitter, ourselves and God. We do our best to uphold our part. If you have any problem with any request or or an update please let us know. Thank you and God bless.

Abby has been found to have only 20% of her heart working. This either from a blockage or heart attack. She goes for tests Monday and we pray for the very best. So many people big and small depend on Abby for so much. We pray for Abby to be back to 100% quickly.

We pray for the recovery of the injured and for all the families involved. We thank all the heroes who stepped up in so many ways. We refuse to give up our freedom and let the bad guys win. We have lost so much since 9-11. Every time a freedom is lost the bad guy wins. God Bless America

I apologize for the length of this prayer request. Please pray for the repose of the soul of Megan Woodward, a teacher at Southport High School in Indianapolis. She recently had a baby and died from the result of an accidental fall yesterday. She was my son's English teacher last year. Also, please pray for the repose of the soul of Donald Conway of Emporia. Mr Conway had been a member of the Knights of Columbus LEO Council 727 here in Emporia. Also, please pray for the recovery of Rod Symmonds, a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church here in Emporia. Mr. Symmonds is recovering from heart problems. Also, please remember in your prayers those who continue to suffer from earthquakes in Mexico and hurricanes in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and other Caribbean islands. Pray especially for the people in Puerto Rico who have suffered so greatly. I ask you to pray for the Brotherhood of Blessed Gerard. The 'BBG' is the South African branch of the Order of Malta. They operate the Blessed Gerard Care Centre, which in turn provides a wide range of ministries to the poor and sick in Mandeni, South Africa. If you wish to learn more, or if you want to support their work, visithttp://www.bsg.org.za/en/homepage.html. Its director and president, Fr Gerard Lagleder OSB, is one of my 'pray-ers'. (Thank you, Fr. Gerard!) They are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year.
