YORK SPRINGS, Penn., Wednesday, May 10, 2011 " NASCAR star Kasey Kahne has confirmed with Lincoln Speedway officials that he plans to compete in the Sprint Spectacular on Sunday, May 15.

Also confirmed for the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing benefit race is another Kasey Kahne Racing driver, Cody Darrah of Red Lion, joining Lucas Wolfe of Mechanicsburg, 2010 Knoxville Nationals Champion Tim Shaffer from Aliquippa, and a full field of Lincoln regulars including Sprint Car Hall of Famer Fred Rahmer and three time champion Brian Monteith.

“We are thrilled to have Kasey Kahne competing in our special event,” said Eastern Museum board president Lynn Paxton. “Our special thanks goes to Lincoln Speedway for hosting this event and inviting Kasey Kahne to be a part of it.”

The Sprint Spectacular is a special event fund-raiser held by Lincoln Speedway for the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing (EMMR) to support their Phase IV museum expansion. The acclaimed non-profit motorsports museum at the Latimore Valley Fairgrounds near York Springs, Penn. is nearing completion of a major 6,000 square-foot addition.
