Three pretty severe thunderstorms hit WV yesterday where we are currently staying. Due to a couple of windows open a bit we got some water in the motorhome but no damage. There were trees down and flooding all around us from the last storm. On the positive side, the oppressive heat is gone for the time being. Baby, our cat however is ready for therapy as she hates storms.
Our tour has slowed a bit due to my scheduling miscalculations. We will spend a few more days at Nancy's mom's before heading to Lernerville, Mercer and on to Ohio then Indiana.
Our sympathy goes out to Jamie Frederickson (driver of the #58) and the Frederickson family at the loss of his grandfather on his mom's side. Visitation is Friday so Gas City will be off the schedule for this week.
We are looking forward to being back on the road but this has been an important part of the trip. We never make all the progress we hope to but it has been a positive beginning. Hope to see as many of our friends, old and new as possible in the coming weeks. We hope this includes you. See you at the races.
