The blessings of this Christmas time

As snow falls from above, Makes the holy season A beauty filled with love.

The array of God's creation Is a vision for all to see, At this very special time That He gave you and me.

The awareness of His miracle's Surrounds us every day Yet at this glorious time of year His sketch's seem to say.

Open wide your sleepy eyes This gift I give to you So covet it within your heart Enjoy as I wish you to.

So have a blessed Christmas  Sending greetings to keep in touch With family and friends everywhere Because we love you so much.

Life From the Seat of a Tractor

An  old Farmer's Words of Wisdom we could all live  by....... The last  quote  fits everyone...I don't care who you  are,,

Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong.Keep skunks and bankers at a distance.

Life is simpler when you plow around the stump.

A bumble bee is considerably faster than a John Deere tractor.

Words that soak into your ears are whispered....not yelled.

Meanness don't just happen overnight.

Forgive your enemies; it messes up their heads.

Do not corner something that you know is meaner than you.

It don't take a very big person to carry a grudge.

You cannot unsay a cruel word.

Every path has a few puddles.

When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.

The best sermons are lived, not preached.

Most of the stuff people worry about, ain't never gonna happen anyway.

Don't judge folks by their relatives.

Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

Charles Haddon Spurgeon was a British Particular Baptist preacher. Spurgeon remains highly influential among Christians of various denominations, among whom he is known as the 'Prince of Preachers'.The Secret of Joy: Psalm 126 by Josh Moody Spurgeon was once criticized for putting too much laughter into his sermons. Frivolous. Lacking gravity. His reply to the woman who had button-holed him was classic: “My good lady, if you only knew how much I restrain myself.” This psalm shows us not only that “laughter” (Psalms 126:2) and God go together but also

The Tree Experience

When you live by yourself, after a period of time you develop habits and living styles that don't mesh with the Ozzie & Harriet's. So it came to be, my house did not have a Christmas tree in the living-room during the Christmas season. Well, the new wife changed that, she wanted a Christmas tree with all the trimmings. I was okay with

We celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary on Sept. 18 and then our friends took us out for Nancy's birthday on Sept. 19.

They took us to see the new movie " War Room"  and then to a steak house... "Rodeo" and showered us with gifts.

It was great spending time with good Christian friends. Our good friend, Jim who sponsored the entire evening was sick and unable to join us.  Missed our good buddy Jim.

The national flag of the United States of America, often referred to as the American flag, consists of thirteen equal horizontal stripes of red (top and bottom) alternating with white, with a blue rectangle in the canton (referred to specifically as the "union") bearing fifty small, white, five-pointed stars arranged in nine offset horizontal rows of six stars (top and bottom) alternating with rows of five stars. The 50 stars on the flag represent the 50 states of the United States of America, and the 13 stripes represent the thirteen British colonies that declared independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain, and became the first states in the Union.[1] Nicknames for the flag include the Stars and Stripes, Old Glory, and the Star-Spangled Banner.

The U.S. flag has undergone many changes since the first official flag of 1777. On June 14, 1777 , the Continental Congress passed the first Flag Act, which said that the flag would be made up of thirteen alternating red and white stripes and thirteen white stars on a blue field. Stars have been added to the flag as new states join the union. Currently, the flag contains 50 stars.
Ever wonder why the flag is red, white, and blue? While the flag's colors did not have a specific meaning at the time, the colors were significant for the Great Seal of 1782. White: Signifies purity and innocence Red: Signifies valor and bravery Blue: Signifies Vigilance, perseverance, and justiceWhy stars and stripes? Stars are considered a symbol of the heavens and the divine goal to which man has aspired from time immemorial; the stripe is symbolic of the rays of light emanating from the sun.

Facts About the U.S. Flag How many stars and stripes are on the flag? There are 50 stars representing the 50 states and there are 13 stripes representing the 13 original states. No matter how hard they try, liberals can’t reasonably argue agains guns saving lives.

Sure, they might like to make the argument in broad, sweeping terms, but give them an actual story where someone uses a gun to save a life and their argument falls flat. Such is the case of an 11-year-old girl who used a shotgun to deter home invaders from making it another step into her house.

An 11-year-old girl was able to scare off a suspect &mdash later taken into custody &mdash during a home invasion in Lapeer County’s North Branch Township.
(UPDATE: Police say 11-year-old girl used her own shotgun to scare off robbers in Lapeer County) Deputies from the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Department responded around 3:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30 to a Five Lakes Road home where the girl was home alone when a vehicle pulled into the driveway. A Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office news release states one person knocked on all the doors and forced their way inside the home when there was no response. The girl locked herself inside a bathroom and hid in a closet with a shotgun. The su

Jiggs McDonald, NHL Hall of Fame broadcaster speaking in Ontario, says:

"I am truly perplexed that so many of my friends are against another mosque being built in Toronto. I think it should be the goal of every Canadian to be tolerant regardless of their religious beliefs. Thus the mosque should be allowed, in an effort to promote tolerance."

“That is why I also propose that two nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque; thereby promoting tolerance from within the mosque.

We could call one of the clubs, which would be gay, "The Turban Cowboy," and the other, a topless bar, would be called "You Mecca Me Hot." “Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork, and adjacent to that an open-pit barbecue pork restaurant, called "Iraq of Ribs."

“Across the street there could be a lingerie store called "Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret," with sexy mannequins in the window modeling the goods.”, and on the other side a liquor store called "Morehammered." “All of this would encourage Muslims to demonstrate the tolerance they demand of us.” Yes we should promote tolerance, and you can do your part by passing this on."
