Is Christmas Over?

Ask yourself...  Is Christmas Over?   Not hardly!   Jesus Christ is alive and with us from now until eternity. Recently a dear friend has asked me to keep her daughter and her family in prayer.  She and her husband are both good Christian people and read the Bible together daily. They have several children and times are so tough for them normally; but more recently his hours have been cut at work and he is only getting 25 hours a week. All types of trials and tribulations are happening in their lives. Shorter pays causing them to get behind on bills and then the threat to evict them if they couldn't come up with the cash to buy the gas for heating in their home.  If that's not enough of a ordeal; the heater goes out on their car and then the van breaks down on the road having to be towed home.  All this expense and then there is school starting with the children needing clothes, shoes and school supplies, the new baby needing formula and diapers and medicine. They live in a very cold climate where the snow is so heavy and the temperatures are freezing.   Their faith is being tested.  But what do we know?  We know sometimes God will l

From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics. It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember. -The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ. -Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments. -Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.- -The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John. -The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament. -The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation. -Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit--Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy. -The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes. -Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit--Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control. -The ten lords a-leaping were the ten comman

I DO NOT CARE IF THIS DOES OFFEND SOMEONE …THIS IS WHAT I BELIEVE…I AM SICK AND TIRED OF EVERY YEAR WHEN CHRISTMAS COMES AROUND; THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO TAKE CHRIST OUT OF CHRISTMAS BECAUSE IT MIGHT OFFEND SOMEONE… WELL, HOW ABOUT ALL OF THE CHRISTIANS?...WHAT ABOUT OFFENDING US BECAUSE YOU ARE TAKING OUR CHRIST OUT OF CHRISTMAS?... CHRIST IS CHRISTMAS!...IF YOU AREN'T CELEBRATING CHRIST THEN WHY ARE YOU CELEBRATING?... CHRISTMAS IS ABOUT THE BIRTH OF OUR SAVIOR!.. CHRISTMAS IS ONE OF A FEW HOLIDAYS LEFT THAT CELEBRATE 'MY' CHRIST!... LEAVE 'MY' CHRISTMAS ALONE!...AND TELL EVERYONE MERRY CHRISTMAS, NOT HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!...   And just for your information:    It is a CHRISTMAS TREE   not a holiday tree !  Now: Go do your shopping and tell every clerk in every store....  MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!  and if they don't say it back.....  don't shop in that store again!!   We won't !!

A Dad comes home drunk and mad.  He pulls a gun on his wife then turns the gun to himself.  His little girl sits behind the couch crying. The police came and took the little girl.  She is now with a new family. Her first day of Sunday school she walks past the building and see's a picture of Jesus on the cross. The little girl asks the teacher ' How did that man get off the cross? ' The teacher replied, 'He didn't!' The little girl argued 'Yes He did, the night Mommy and Daddy died.  He sat next to me behind the couch and told me everything would be alright.'  !!!

A friend of mine opened his wife's underwear drawer and picked up a silk paper- wrapped package: 'This, - he said - isn't any ordinary package.' He unwrapped the box and stared at both the silk paper and the box. 'She got this the first time we went to New York , 8 or 9 years ago. She has never put it on , was saving it for a special occasion. Well, I guess this is it. He got near the bed and placed the gift box next to the other clothing he was taking to the funeral house, his wife had just died. He turned to me and said: 'Never save something for a special occasion. Every day in your life is a special occasion'. -   -   -   -   -   -   -   -   -   -   -   -   -   I still think those words changed my life. Now I read more and clean less.I sit on the porch without worrying aboutanything.I spend more time with my family, and less at work. I understood that life should be a source of experience to be lived up to, not survived through. I no longer keep anything. I use crystal glasses every day... I'll wear new clothes to go to the supermarket, if I feel like it..I don't save my special

This is the story of the poor blonde flying in a two-seater airplane with just the pilot. He has a heart attack and dies. She frantically calls a May Day:'May Day! May Day! Help me! Help me! My pilot had a heart attack and is dead. And I don't know how to fly. Help me! Please help me!'All of a sudden she hears a voice over the radio saying: 'The is ATC. I have received your message and I will talk you through it. I've had a lot of experience with this kind of problem. Now, just relax. Everything will be fine! Now give me your height and position.' She says, 'I'm 5'4' and I'm in the front seat.' 'O.K.' says the voice from the tower. 'Repeat after me: Our Father. . . Who art in Heaven. . . ..'

From one pumpkin to another!      A woman was asked by a coworker, 'What is it like to be a Christian?'   The coworker replied, 'It is like being a pumpkin. God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then He cuts the top off and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see.'
