On our first trip back to Lawrenceburg Speedway in over 8 years we were certainly pleasantly surprised. Yes, the track is larger and very steeply banked and super fast but that is only part of the good news. The facilities have been completely redone with new aluminum stands, concrete walkways. and good lighting. The safety crew are uniformed professional and 2 medical crews stand by. Three great looking vehicles handle the track duties.

One really appreciated deal is the RV hookups and rest rooms with showers available for no charge. There are T-shirts being shot into the stands through out the night and things for the kids as well. Dave and Kim Rudisell are doing a great job of making this an eventful evening for the entire family. We were made to feel welcome from the time Dave stopped by the motorhome to welcome us Friday evening. This is easily the most family and fan friendly track of our tour.

We haven't even mentioned the side by side racing in every division. The track was well prepared and stayed good well into the sprint feature. Taking into consideration this was a 100 degree day that was remarkable in itself.

Spending a lot of the day with Chaplain Jackie really made the visit special. Jackie provides a church service before each event and is available to each team during the evening. We are leaving very impressed and wish some other Indiana promoters would take a ride south with note book in hand. Thanks Dave and Kim and Chaplain Jackie, we love you.
