AN ACTUAL CRAIG'S LIST PERSONALS AD To the Guy Who Tried to Mug Me in Downtown  Savannah  night before last. Date: 2010-09-27, 1:43 a.m.  E.S.T. I was the guy wearing the black Burberry jacket that you demanded that I hand over, shortly after you pulled the knife on me and my girlfriend, threatening our lives. You also asked for my girlfriend's purse and earrings I can only hope that you somehow come across this rather important message. First, I'd like to apologize for your embarrassment; I didn't expect you to actually crap in your pants when I drew my pistol after you took my jacket.. The evening was not that cold, and I was wearing the jacket for a reason..my girlfriend was happy that I just returned safely from my 2nd tour as a Combat Marine in Afghanistan.. She had just bought me that Kimber Custom Model 1911 .45 ACP pistol for my birthday, and we had picked up a shoulder holster for it that very evening. Obviously you agree that it is a very intimidating weapon when pointed at your head ... isn't it?! I know it probably wasn't fun walking back to wherever you'd come from with that brown sludge in your pants. I'm sure it was even worse wal

Tonight will be a new experience for this old boy. I will be preaching my first revival, at the Methodist church in Honeyville, Florida.  The revival consists of four nights and I have been asked to to the Monday night edition. Nancy and two of her friends have formed a singing group and will provide the music along with her doing a solo at the close. Local talent Ray Barret will also perform. This is a bit different than preaching at our local church but I very much appreciate the opportunity. It is gracious of a pastor to invite you to share his pulpit. I believe we are prepared and very much look forward to the evening. This is our last committment here in Florida before make our trip north, finances permitting.

Danny Smith couldn’t wait to get to the Engine Pro Victory Lane at Attica Raceway Park. The Chillicothe, Ohio driver wanted to thank all of the fans who sent him money and cards and words of encouragement after he broke his back at the track on June 18, 2010 in a vicious crash. He got that opportunity Friday on Fisher Performance/Merrill Lynch/Construction Equipment and Supply Night, leading all 30 laps of the O’Reilly Auto Parts 410 Sprint feature for his 10th career Attica victory. Good job Danny. Good guys can finish first. Welcome back.

Why do promoters put it to their regular top class that pays their bills and put people in the stands season after season? Both Gas City and Kokomo, non winged sprint car tracks in central Indiana have done it again. They park their premium class, the sprint cars, and bring in the USAC sprints. Their regular sprint cars have to tow to a distant track or keep them parked as their home track hosts someone else. What is worse, is that due to the weather the regulars have yet to turn a lap. Why can't they bring in the special show on an off night or at least combine the two. Don't enough people want to see the USACers to show up on another night? Instead they let the regulars know that they are not important enough to maintain their night and their fan base is dispensible. I have friends who run the non wing sprints and if I drove a hundred miles or so expecting them to be running on what is supposed to be their night at a particular track and found another group there, I would unhappy to say the least. These tracks do the same thing with visiting midgets. Again the regulars are sidelined. It really shows how much they care for their regulars. Promoters? Promoters? You have got to b

A teacher was reading the story of the Three Little Pigs to her class. She came to the part of the story where first pig was trying to gather the building materials for his home. She read. 'And so the pig went up to the man with the wheelbarrow full of straw and said: 'Pardon me sir, but may I have some of thatstraw to build my house?' The teacher paused then asked the class: 'And what do you think the man said?' One little boy raised his hand and said very matter-of-factly... 'I think the man would have said - 'Well I'll be!!  A talking pig!' The teacher had to leave the room.

ASCS officials made a decision in regards to the disqualification of Travis Rilat from the Smileys Racing Products ASCS Gulf South Regional event at Royal Purple Raceway on April 16 for having illegal fuel. Samples were taken after the races that night by ASCS officials and failed a water test. Travis was given samples by officials to have checked out if he wished. Since Rilat uses VP Racing Fuels M1 methanol that he purchases in sealed drums, Rilat decided to send the fuel to VP for an analysis. Test results confirmed that there was a presence of hydrocarbons typical of racing gasoline. 'Some how racing gasoline was mixed with our methanol. Why would I do that. Gasoline would not help us out, it would only hurt performance' Rilat explained. According to the ASCS rules, (www.ascsracing.com/ascsrules.asp) only methanol is allowed as a fuel with no additives. 'Racing gasoline is surely not an additive and I do not agree with the decision being made but I respect their rules and the ability of the officials to do what ever necessary to enforce them'. Travis would like everyone to know that he does not bend the rules, nor ever would. Below is the email that he received f

As of today there is a new column on Hoseheads.com under our 'Not Just Another Racing Column' banner. To start a new race related business in today's economy it takes dedication and just good old fashioned guts. Our new column deals with A.J. Atherson who has done just that. The title of this effort is Infinity Shocks The Racing Community. It is a short read and I believe worth the time.  Thanks and enjoy.

SPECIAL PEOPLE

I have long believed that one of our greatest gifts are the special people God puts in our life. Tonight my nephew and his family showed up at our door with a handcrafted bed that he had been building in his wood shop since last October. Vance, Brandy, 13 year old Cody and 3 year old Karter all helped in the assembly. The memory foam mattress was a Christmas gift from our son, Chris. This new hand crafted wood bed was a labor of love by some special people. When things seem to be falling apart at every level, it is the special people in our lives that keep things in prospective. We are all imperfect but as long as we strive to be a little more like the example Jesus set, then we are on the right path. If we didn't have folks who cared, our accomplishments would mean nothing. Love and allow others to love you. Remember, God loved us so very much that He gave His son to save us. We certainly value our beautiful new bed but value the love with which it was made even more.

DEATH NOTICE

Jesus of Nazereth died Friday as a result of execution. He was pronounced dead by Roman soldiers in charge of the proceedings. He was buried in a tomb which was donated by a friend, in an undisclosed location, known only to family and a few close friends. Jesus son of Joseph the carpenter was a self educated teacher and was called by some rabbi, healer even 'king of the Jews'. Jesus had been credited with many miracles during his three year ministry but local church leaders deny these rumors. Reports state that he even claimed aloud to be the son of God. Whether or not one believes the tales of these works, the controversioal reports are of no consequence as this Jesus has been entombed for eternity never to return to the public arena. His followers have been scattered through out the city never to be heard from again. I can stand here in the temple and claim victory once again for our church and goverment leaders  Hail Caesar.
