NO MORE PLAYING COWBOYS AND INDIANS (sorry-native Americans)

DETROIT (WWJ) – State lawmakers are currently reviewing legislation that targets the use of certain toy guns. A planned proposal before the Senate would make it a crime to possess a toy gun that has its required markings removed or by having a real gun that is made up to look like a toy.

State Senate Republican Rick Jones said that this has become a major problem, especially within the gang community. “People are taking imitation firearms that look real, cutting off the orange end and then threatening people,” he said.

Supporters of the proposed legislation have also cited a recent case where a police officer was forced to shoot a gang member who was aiming a toy gun without its required markings. Jones believes this proposal will be vital in preventing incidents such as this from occurring in the future.

He and his crew backed me up one night in a dispute with another crew at Lernerville. Nothing happened but he was there for support. Dave is what this sport used to be about. Hope we can come across Dave this season. It is just great to see him back doin it again.

SEMPER FI

If you don't know GOD, don't make stupid remarks!!!!!!

A United States Marine was taking some college courses
between assignments. He had completed 20 missions in Iraq
and Afghanistan . One of the  courses had a professor who
was an avowed atheist, and a member of the ACLU.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in.
He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "GOD, if you are real, then
I want you to knock me off this platform... I'll give you exactly 15 min."

The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes
went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am GOD, I'm still waiting."

It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got
out of his chair, went up to the  professor, and then hit him;
knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold.

The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently.

The other students were shocked and stunned, and sat there
looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to,
noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked,
"What in the world is the matter with you? Why did you do that?"

The Marine calmly replied,
"GOD was too busy today protecting
soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid
stuff and act like an idiot. So He sent me."

The classroom erupted in cheers!

JASON MEYERS

Jason Meyers said that after the first 14 or so WOO races he was going home to spend more time with his family. This has to be a really tough decision considering how he ended last season and how he is beginning this one. Our ministry began because we know how hard it is on the road and the challenges it produces. If Jason can pull this off and stick to his plans, congratulations. Going out on top has to be great but the temptation to keep going has to be enormous as well.

It would be great if more of us could stand for things that are right rather than things that are easy. We wish Jason great success while in the car and afterward as well. Brings to mind another driver who has sold the sprint car equipment and is going on a missions trip to Panama. He is trusting God to provide a ride when he gets home. Two guys we might do well to learn somthing from. I am guessing they both will be winners in the end.
