We made the drive from visiting friends in the Indianapolis area north to Fort Wayne and the Parkview Hospital to check on the progress of Jean and the family. Ed Sr advised me that they were going to transport Jean back to the Pittsburgh area for further care. The surgery on her badly injured ankle and leg went well but there is a long way to go.
Zane Reese who suffered a broken femur is doing well but will remain in the hospital for a few more days. The others have been released and though battered and bruised are doing well.
Ed went out of his way to compliment the first responders, the doctors and hospital staff. As bad as it was, it could have been worse. I left the hospital encouraged and would ask that the prayers would certainly continue. Jean and Zane have a long recovery ahead.
It is hard to imagine that I have known the Lynch family for fifty years. The Lynch name is and has for a long time been synonymous with sprint car racing. Our prayers will continue for Jean, Zane and the entire family as the recovery continues. We are very ecouraged by the visit but please keep the prayers coming.
