Ask yourself... Is Christmas Over?
Not hardly! Jesus Christ is alive and with us from now until eternity.
Recently a dear friend has asked me to keep her daughter and her family in prayer. She and her husband are both good Christian people and read the Bible together daily. They have several children and times are so tough for them normally; but more recently his hours have been cut at work and he is only getting 25 hours a week.
All types of trials and tribulations are happening in their lives. Shorter pays causing them to get behind on bills and then the threat to evict them if they couldn't come up with the cash to buy the gas for heating in their home. If that's not enough of a ordeal; the heater goes out on their car and then the van breaks down on the road having to be towed home. All this expense and then there is school starting with the children needing clothes, shoes and school supplies, the new baby needing formula and diapers and medicine. They live in a very cold climate where the snow is so heavy and the temperatures are freezing.
Their faith is being tested. But what do we know? We know sometimes God will let us get way out there almost to the end and then with our faith and trust in Him, He will be our Father and take care of us in just a way that only He can do.
Keep the faith, do all that you can to handle it from your end and then turn to the our living God. Nothing is impossible with God.
Isaiah 43:2 NIV Tells us about God's Divine Care.......
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow on you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.
Put it all in His hands and allow him to work it out. As so many of us know He will and in His time; when he knows it is best for us and our situation.
Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. ISAIAH 41:10 NIV
Sometimes things look very grim but remember He is always right there beside you to lean on.
* Please pray for this family and the hardships they are going through. We pray that their faith will be strengthened and God will intervene.
