If you are visiting Florida or have moved down here and are missing the weekly sprint car action up north, take heart. Don Rehm's "Top Gun" sprint car series may be just what you are looking for. They show up with 20 plus sharp competitive race cars and run three heats and a 25 lap feature at tracks like Bubba Raceway Park and North Florida Speedway and others. Just google, Top Gun Sprints and have a look.

Friend, Ryan Partin got the KSE Hard Charger Award last Saturday night as Mike Ruel Jr. was first to the checker. Ryan's dad Mike and I go back to our Texas days in the 80's. Mike is "much" older now but fields a good ride for Ryan with the family owned #14. Again, don't think you have left competitive sprint car racing behind just by coming to Florida. The Top Gun series looks, sounds and feels like what you are missing. It is worth a couple hours drive to take in a Top Gun show. It is the real deal.
