With a recent race cancellation, and a looming rumored cancellation of additional races, the Tampa Bay Area Racing Association (TBARA) could be looking to the future with dread, or with hopeful optimism. It all depends on who you talk to, and what tracks are being discussed. Are you examining the increased attendance seen at Citrus County Speedway, or Punta Gorda Speedway, during April and May? Both tracks hosted a return engagement with TBARA, after several years off the schedule. Punta Gorda boasted of a near sell-out. Or, are you examining the disappointing attendance at Desoto Super Speedway?  TBARA last raced at Desoto in May, to mostly empty stands on a night which saw an exciting race, and a surprise winner.
