1. If walking/cycling is good for your health, the postman would be immortal.
2. A whale swims all day, only eats fish, drinks water and is fat.
3. A rabbit runs and hops and only lives 15 years.
4. A tortoise doesn't run, does nothing ...yet lives for 450 years.

Seriously folks exercise is great, I hate it but it does work. My husband has been making me walk about 2 miles everyday except Sundays. My cholesterol numbers have come down, triglicerides down, blood pressure down, diabetes numbers very low and well the best part is for a month now I have lost 13 lbs. Oh yes I gave up eating sweets, no artificial sweetners and no sodas.
Once you start you don't even miss the junk. (once you taste it again you'll get hooked on sugars again)
I've lost inches (oh no I never measure before I start) you can tell by my clothes and people are actually noticing and that is nice. The best reward is my health has improved.
So start a plan of exercise for your health. It doesn't have to be a hard thing. Do what you can; but do it regularly.
Examples: stationery bike, treadmill if you can't get out or just try the new version of dancing to music.... Zumba is just dancing and letting your body take on the movements with the music. (I haven't tried that yet).
