Ed fought a valiant battle against cancer. A heart attack took his life. Ed had 3 daughters with Diane. Cyndee Reed (Ronnie), granddaughter Jessica Reed, Lynda Walker, Ruth Talancon (Todd Bowser), grandson Vincent E Talancon. He had two step daughters with Joan, Jeanie Baker and Julie Julie Wills Chriss. Tim Lohrey was like a son to him. He is survived by... wife Shirley. A pioneer in auto racing, Ed's legacy is a Championship race car builder/owner. Winning back to back championships and 26 Main Events in a row, including West Capital and All American Speedway. Well known in the U.S. and Down Under as a strong competitor. As a founding member of the World of Outlaws his pink # 78 Sprint car excited crowds. Inducted into the West Capital Speedway Hall of Fame. A local business owner, AJ's Muffler Service, Western Body Works, C & C Auto Wreckers, All Foreign Auto Dismantlers. Restoring cars was his passion, winner of many awards at the Autorama. Ed served in the U.S. Navy and will be laid to rest at the Sacto Valley VA Nat'l Cemetery in Dixon, Ca. God Speed and Peace to you in Heaven. Celebration of Life will be held Noon, March 23, 2013, at Tim's Hot Rods, 6312 W. 2nd St., Rio Linda 95673 ..... I love you Daddy, your Cynthia Ann.
