Wow- very interesting....Everyone should read :)

ONIONS! I had never heard this!!!
PLEASE READ TO THE END: IMPORTANT

In 1919 when the flu killed 40 million people there was this Doctor that visited the many farmers to see if he could help them combat the flu...
Many of the farmers and their families had contracted it and many died.

The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone was very healthy. When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing that was different the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled onion in a dish in the rooms of the home, (probably only two rooms back then). The doctor couldn't believe it and asked if he could have one of the onions and place it under the microscope. She gave him one and when he did this

How Great is our God!!!Our Creator and Redeemer . . . and do we THINK about it ??? God's accuracy may beobserved in the hatching of eggs.. . . . .. For example: -the eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days;-those of the canary in 14 days;-those of the barnyard hen in 21 days;-The eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days;-those of the mallard in 35 days;-The eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days. (Notice, they are all divisible by seven, the number of days in a week!) God's wisdom is seen in the making of an elephant. The four legs of this great beast all bend forward in the same direction. No other quadruped is so made. God planned that this animal would have a huge body, too large to live on two legs. For this reason He gave it four fulcrums so that it can rise from the ground easily. The horse rises from the ground on its two front legs first. A cow rises from the ground with its two hind legs first. How wise the Lord is in all His works of creation! God's wisdom is revealed in His arrangement of sections and segments, as well as in the number of grains. -Each watermelon has an even number of stripes on the rind.-Each orange has an even number of segment

'For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast'  Ephesians 2:8-9 NK   God's Grace I wonder how many people will delete this without reading it because of the title. It is a shame but this message is very true. Hope you are all as blessed as I was by this story.  There once was a man named  George Thomas, pastor in a small New England town. One Easter Sunday morning he came to the Church carrying a rusty, bent, old bird cage, and set it by the pulpit. Eyebrows were raised and, as if in response, Pastor Thomas began to speak....  'I was walking through town yesterday when I saw a young boy coming toward me swinging this bird cage.. On the bottom of the cage were three little wild birds, shivering with cold and fright. I stopped the lad and asked, 'What do you have there, son?''Just some old birds,' came the reply. 'What are you going to do with them?' I asked. 'Take 'em home and have fun with 'em,' he answered. 'I'm gonna tease 'em and pull out their feathers to make 'em fight. I'm gonna have a real good time.' 'But you'll get tired of

Must read.... I borrowed this from a friends post.. Recently, when I went to McDonald's I saw on the menu that you could have an order of 6, 9 or 12 Chicken McNuggets.I asked for a half dozen nuggets.'We don't have half dozen nuggets,' said theteenager at the counter.'You don't?' I replied.'We only have six, nine, or twelve,' was the reply.'So I can't order a half dozen nuggets, but I can order six?''That's right.'So I shook my head and ordered six McNuggets(Unbelievable but sadly true...)(Must have been the same one I asked for sweetener, and she said they didn't have any, only Splenda and sugar.) TWOI was checking out at the local Wal-Mart with just a few items and the lady behind me put her things on the belt close to mine. I picked up one of those 'dividers' that they keep by the cash register and placed it between our things so they wouldn't get mixed. After the girl had scanned all of my items, she picked up the'divider', looking it all over for the bar code so she could scan it.Not finding the bar code, she said to me, 'Do you know how much this is?'I said to her 'I've changed my mind; I don't think I'll buy that today.'She said 'OK,' and I paid her for the things

The evolution in teaching math since the 1950s: 1. Teaching Math In 1950s A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price. What is his profit ?  2. Teaching Math In 1960s  A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price, or $80. What is his profit?  3. Teaching Math In1970s  A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80. Did he make a profit?  4. Teaching Math In 1980s A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80 and his profit is $20. Your assignment: Underline the number 20. 5. Teaching Math In 1990s A logger cuts down a beautiful forest because he is selfish and inconsiderate and cares nothing for the habitat of animals or the preservation of our woodlands. He does this so he can make a profit of $20.. What do you think of this way of making aliving? Topic for class participation after answering the question: How did the birds and squirrels feel as the logger cut down their homes? (There are no wrong answers, and if you feel like crying, it's ok. ) 6. Teaching Math

A DC 'airport ticket agent' offers some examples of why the US is in so much trouble! 1.I had a New Hampshire Congresswoman (Carol Shea-Porter) ask for an aisle seat so that her hair wouldn't get messed up by being near the window. (On an airplane!) 2. I got a call from a Kansas Congressman's (Moore) staffer (Howard Bauleke), who wanted to go to Cape Town. I started to explain the length of the flight and the passport information, and then he interrupted me with, ''I'm not trying to make you look stupid, but Cape Town is in Massachusetts .'' Without trying to make him look stupid, I calmly explained, ''Cape Cod is in Massachusetts , Cape Town is in South Africa ..'' His response -- click.. 3. A senior Vermont Congressman (Bernie Sanders) called, furious about a Florida package we did. I asked what was wrong with the vacation in Orlando . He said he was expecting an ocean-view room. I tried to explain that's not possible, since Orlando is in the middle of the state. He replied, 'Don't lie to me!, I looked on the map, and Florida is a very THIN state!!'' (OMG) 4. I got a call from a lawmaker's wife (Landra Reid) who asked, ''Is it possible

(Written after she found out she was dying from cancer.) I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth wouldgo into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day. I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage. I would have talked less and listened more. I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded. I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace. I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth. I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband. I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer daybecause my hair had just been teased and sprayed. I would have sat on the lawn with my grass stains. I would have cried and laughed less while watching televisionand more while watching life. I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime. Instead of wishing away nine months of preg nancy ,I'd have cherished every moment an

Sears - Christmas shopping this year. I know I needed this reminder, since Sears isn't always my first choice. It's amazing when you think of how long the war has lasted and Sears hasn't withdrawn from their commitment. Could we each buy at least one thing at Sears this year? What commitment you say? How does Sears treat its employees who are serving in our military? By law , they are required to hold their jobs open and available, but nothing more. Usually, people take a big pay cut and lose benefits as a result of being on active duty. Sears is voluntarily paying the difference in salaries and maintaining all benefits, including medical insurance and bonus programs, for all employees who are serving. I submit that Sears is an exemplary corporate citizen and should be recognized for its contribution. I suggest we all shop at Sears at least once this year. Be sure to find a manager to tell them why we are there so the company gets the positive reinforcement & feedback it well deserves. Pass it on. I decided to check this before I sent it forward. So I sent the following e-mail to the Sears Customer Service Department: I re
