We are back home from a great Daytona Antique Auto Racing Assoc. event at Orlando SpeedWorld. The weather was beautiful as was the racing and the relationship building. We can't thank everyone enough for all that was done for us for the five days.
Nancy and I had a chance to meet and relate to so many wonderful people and hopefully were a help to all. It was a great chance to serve and renew old friendships and begin new ones. Yes, I got to race. I had the opportunity to drive a 1939 Hillegas V8-60 midget in two features. A great experience to say the least. Lost fuel pressure running second but no matter, it was a fun day.
This is our last event for the 2011 season and what a great way to finish it out. Nearly 100 cars counting all the classes. We held a short worship service Sunday morning and began each driver's meeting with prayer. The evenings ended with a camp fire with friends. Friday's banquet was another opportunity to get together. Thanks again to the great DAARA group and we look forward to the March nationals.
