Bloomsburg's Duane Mausteller is listed in critical condition for
injuries he suffered during the 360 Sprint Car feature at Selinsgrove
Speedway Saturday night. According to Mausteller's family and speedway
officials, the 41-year-old driver is undergoing procedures to treat head
injuries. More details will be released when they become available. The
accident occurred during the 25-lap Empire Super Sprint sanctioned race.
Jamie Collard flipped on the backstretch and came to rest at the entrance to
Turn 3. Mausteller tried to avoid the incident but also flipped. It took
track officials an extended period of time to extricate Mausteller from his
car. He was later transported to Geisinger Medical Center via Life Flight.
Collard was transported to the hospital by ambulance. He is being treated
for back-related injuries. PennLive
