Well here i am trying to bounce back from Sunday, March 8th when my 92 yr old Mom went to be with the Lord. That same week on Thursday I ended up in the hospital with stomach spasm caused by my colon. Now trying to adjust to a diet with no fiber but trying to maintain my diabetes.
When you are having colitis issues you just can't eat a lot of vegetables or lettuce or you suffer distress. However this is the first time I ended up with severe painful spasms. Well 7 hours later following several blood tests & CT scan they found out the problem and treated it with something to calm it down.
Since that time I have been trying to figure out what to eat. IT AIN'T NO FUN! So much for just grabbing something to eat and going on. I actually spend at least an hour trying to decide what will not disturb my colon. If I choose wrong then the next few hours will be spent in the sandbox.
With Easter week here I want to make all my family favorites that I remember from my childhood; but can't really do that.
Yesterday I received a package from the nursing home back in WV. It included some personal items Mom carried around with her in her wheelchair. Well looking at the items brought the reality of her being gone right back in my face. After sobbing & crying, on and off for several hours; I was able to put the items away.
I know Mom is in a better place now with the Lord. We are so thankful that we got her saved in the last three years of her life. So we are just sad for our loss.
Can you just imagine what Easter is like in Heaven? What a wonderful time for her to arrive in Heaven. What a glorious celebration with Jesus & all the Angels. We can only imagine what it will be like " In The Presence of Jehovah, God Almighty, Prince of Peace, troubles vanish, hearts are mended in the presence of the King.
Have a blessed Easter celebration.
God Bless you all.
